Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a new first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision. This is the sixth installment in the Black Ops series and the seventeenth installment in the entire Call of Duty series. Black Ops Cold War is the direct sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops and is scheduled for release on November 13, 2020.
The Black Ops Cold War takes place in the early Cold War 80s. The campaign follows CIA agent Russell Adler, who tracks down an alleged Soviet spy, Perseus, the whose stated goal is to undermine the United States and steer the balance of power toward the Soviet Union.
Black Ops Cold War's multiplayer is both cross-platform and cross-generational. Multiplayer offers new game modes, better class customization, and new dynamics and map elements.
The game's campaign reveal took place on August 26, 2020, and multiplayer was revealed on September 9.
Plot
Campaign
Call of Duty: The Black Ops Cold War takes place during the Cold War in the early 1980s, "inspired by true events." The campaign will "be about historical figures and hard truths making their way around the world through famous places like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, the Soviet KGB headquarters, and more." In 1981, President Ronald Reagan learned of the existence of Perseus (Navid Negahban), a Soviet spy (based on an actual plot), and authorized a black operation led by CIA officer Russell Adler (Bruce Thomas) and his Team from Counter Perseus SAD / SOG. CIA veterans Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson are also involved in the operation.
The player character, named Bell, can be customized with different skin tones, ethnicity and gender, and different personality traits that provide benefits in the game. The campaign has multiple endings depending on the player's choice during the game. Bell.

Development
On May 18, 2019, Kotaku reported that the game was changing as developers Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software increased tension between the studios. Two sources called the game "mayhem." In response, Activision hired Treyarch to lead development alongside Raven.
On August 4, 2020, Activision confirmed during its second-quarter earnings call that a new Call of Duty title will be released in 2020 and that Treyarch and Raven are developing the game. It will be the first Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare. 3 will be jointly developed by two studios and is the first time that Raven Software is the lead developer, as they have supported multiplayer and additional features in previous games. Activision President Rob Kostich confirmed during the second-quarter earnings call that the Cold War in Black Ops will be closely related to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty: Warzone.
Speaking about the idea of multiple endings, Dan Vondrak from Raven Software said: "When we started creating the story, we immediately had multiple endings in mind. And that helped ... Announcements and marketing related to a Call of Duty game traditionally arrived in April or May before the game was released in the fall. However, Activision began teasing Black Ops Cold War with an alternate reality game (ARG) in August 2020. After being cleared to open on August 10, 2020, they were greeted with a slide projector, 10 different slides per box, and a manifesto.
